As an undergrad, I founded and led Nova, an autonomous driving group at UT Dallas. After almost four years, my team’s custom software and hardware can now drive itself on public roads. We used ROS2 as a base, then built our own nodes for every component, from perception to planning to controls. We even wrote custom firmware for throttle-by-wire, designed and printed custom sensor mounts, and more. Every bit of work we did is completely open-source. Learn more at Nova’s website.
